Shao Lvwei is a deputy to the Suzhou Municipal People's Congress. At present Mr. Shao is the vice-chairman in charge of Financial and Intellectual Property Law Practice of Jiangsu Bar Association and the vice-chairman of Suzhou Bar Association. Mr. Shao is also an executive member of the Suzhou Foreign Exchange Association, a member of the Legislative Committee of Suzhou Municipal People’s Congress, and JM supervisor of Soochow University. Mr. Shao won the title of “Suzhou Ten Outstanding Young Person Award 2004” and “Jiangsu Ten Outstanding Young Lawyer Award 2005”.
As a well-know legal expert in corporate law, securities law and intellectual property law, Mr. Shao served as perennial legal advisor of more than tens of government agencies, industry associations and large enterprises, such as Suzhou Municipal People's Government, Suzhou Association for New Entrepreneurs, Suzhou Securities Association, Suzhou Venture Capital Association, Suzhou State High and New Technical Industry Development Zone, Finance Bureau of Suzhou, Construction Bureau of Suzhou, Foreign Economic Bureau of Suzhou, Suzhou International Development & Investment (Group) Ltd., Suzhou Urban Construction & Investment Ltd, etc. Mr. Shao involves himself in or preside many legal works during asset reorganization and major projects.
Mr. Shao has hosted and chaired many Intellectual Property law training and discussion forums and hosted the research work of the developmental and strategical planning of national asset in the Eleventh Five-Year Plan of Suzhou in December 2005. Mr. Shao also participated in the establishment of the first governmental fund for venture capital in China in 2007.
